Newly arranged for two pianos by pianist and composer Lola Espadas-Frías (b. 1972), Serenata española is a well-known piece, more familiar from versions realized for guitar than from the piano original.

The delicate Serenata española, published under the perhaps more apt title of Cádiz, evokes the city that for so many years connected Europe to America.

Writer: Miguel Ángel R. Laiz
Translated by: Susannah Howe
