Carlini, Paolo
Paolo Carlini graduated with first-class honours from the Conservatory of Ferrara and completed his studies with Marco Costantini and Klaus Thunemann. He has been first bassoonist with the orchestras of La Scala, Milan, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and La Fenice, Venice, and is currently first bassoonist of the Orchestra della Toscana. He has worked with some of the world’s most renowned conductors, including Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Myung-Whun Chung, and has toured Europe, the US, Latin America, Israel, China and Japan. He also teaches bassoon at the Leghorn Conservatory and as part of the Italian Youth Orchestra courses run by the Fiesole Music School.
